1, 2 and 10-year combined warranty includes new-home warranty coverage for one year on workmanship and materials; coverage for two years on the delivery portion of systems (the wiring, piping, and ductwork in the electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, and mechanical systems); and coverage for 10 years on major structural defects.
Note that both the two-year and the 10-year coverage options are necessary in situations where the warranty is being used to satisfy HUD requirements.
What is covered?
10-year structural warranty begins on the day of closing and lasts for 10 years. Home Warranty is the responsible party for any covered major structural defects. If a major structural defect occurs within the first 10 years, it will be repaired, replaced, or paid for under the warranty company.
